The Administrative and Staff Employee Leaves Policy, revised September 19, 2022, features an updated parental leave section. To provide time for parent-child bonding, the university provides six weeks of paid leave for full-time administrative and staff employees for the birth of the employee’s child or for placement of a child with the employee for adoption. Parental leave must be taken and completed within 12 months of the birth or placement for adoption. Parental leave is in addition to medical maternity leave, and an employee who qualifies for both may take a total of 12 weeks’ leave.
