BYU Compliance Hotline
BYU is committed to complying with federal and state laws and regulations, as well as its own internal policies and procedures. However, sometimes misconduct still occurs.
WHAT IS THE COMPLIANCE HOTLINE?
The Compliance Hotline is a tool through which employees, students, and members of the public can report compliance concerns and ask compliance-related questions by phone or online. The university uses the Compliance Hotline to
- promote a safe campus environment.
- protect BYU resources.
- promote compliance with the law and internal policies and procedures.
- reduce financial losses due to fraud, waste, and abuse.
HOW DO I ACCESS THE COMPLIANCE HOTLINE?
You can access the Compliance Hotline through any of these means:
CAN I MAKE AN ANONYMOUS REPORT?
Yes. You decide whether to provide your name and contact information to the university. EthicsPoint, the third-party vendor that operates the Compliance Hotline, will never share your name or contact information with BYU if you choose not to disclose it. You should be aware, however, there may be limits to the university’s ability to investigate anonymous reports.
WHEN SHOULD I USE THE COMPLIANCE HOTLINE?
In general, suspected non-compliance should be reported to the responsible campus department or an employee’s supervisor.
The Compliance Hotline is very useful if you are not satisfied with the university’s response to a reported compliance issue, you are concerned about retaliation for making a compliance report, or you would like to remain anonymous.
