Take to the Skies with an Updated Travel Policy

As travel, including travel for university purposes, starts making its way onto more calendars, members of the campus community will want to be familiar with a new policy.

This newly revised Travel Policy combines three policies into one—the Travel Policy, International Travel Policy, and Undergraduate Student Travel Policy. The updated policy

  • requires travelers to consult with Purchasing and Travel on travel and lodging reservations,
  • authorizes departments to approve enhanced coach and/or seat upgrades for airline tickets,
  • outlines lodging requirements related to shared rooms,
  • allows for use of ride-sharing companies (e.g., Uber and Lyft), and
  • details allowable use of personal vehicles for business purposes.

University travelers must comply with all current COVID-19 protocols found on the university coronavirus webpage.
