President’s Statement

Higher education and the establishments, foundations, and organizations associated with it, is a part of an intricate environment of multifaceted regulations and Brigham Young University is no exception. Brigham Young University has, does, and will always strive to create a community in which all requirements applicable to our campus are stringently met. As such, we value the right of all our students, faculty, staff, and other personnel to enjoy honesty and respect, fairness and ethics, and equal opportunity. Regardless of your place and responsibility at this great university, come and learn of the compliance requirements which concern you and integrate them into all your assignments."

Kevin J Worthen, President
Brigham Young University

Brigham Young University Compliance

BYU instituted its current compliance program in April 2005 to create a cohesive compliance effort on campus. The ultimate goal of a compliance program is to prevent violations of the law, or compliance failures, thus preventing ensuing loss or injury to our students, employees, and patrons and protecting the university from litigation, fines, and negative publicity.

The compliance program expresses BYU’s commitment to carry out its educational and research activities in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and with the highest integrity. It aims to not only develop policies and procedures that help ensure compliance, but to help ensure that these policies are documented, communicated, implemented, and enforced.

As a private university, access to the Compliance website is restricted to users who possess Route Y identification, with the exception of the Federal Disclosures page.
